Professional Development: Integrating Technology
Overview
The objective of this training is to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate technology effectively into their teaching practice, resulting in improved student engagement, and achievement. By the end of this training teachers perception of their ability to integrate technology within their classroom effectively should improve.

Title: Professional Development: Integrating Technology in the classroom
Problem
Teachers at Fayetteville Middle school are struggling with integrating technology into their classrooms. Technology is rapidly changing and growing; Educators need to be introduced to the learning management systems, devices, and educational programs. These new technology implementations in the education setting can increase student engagement and meet the learning needs of students.
Participants & Prerequisites
The participants are teachers at Fayetteville Middle School who have some experience in integrating technology into the classroom. Participants will have prior knowledge and experiences with applications, devices, and tools. The participants are eager to learn about technology integration. Teachers will also be comfortable with self-paced learning and training.
Evaluation
Participants will complete a 8 question end of course quiz. This quiz will check their knowledge on education technology tools and integration.
Participants will complete a 9-question pre-assessment and post-assessment on their perceptions of their ability levels before training on integrating technology for student engagement and after training.
Goal(s)
Participants will know how to effectively integrate technology into their classroom to improve student engagement.
Participants perception of their ability to integrate technology within their classroom will improve.
Analysis
In the analysis phase, my goal was to determine what was causing the problem. This was done by having a scoping meeting with the SMEs and conducting a Training Needs Analysis. Then I proceeded with a learner analysis.
Design
Designing the course was done first done by creating the course objectives based on the goals set for the course objectives have been set, I drew up a first draft and storyboard. I also set deadlines in the project management system.
Development
In the development phase, I began was deciding which platformm fit best with the learning modules I planned on doing. I chose Rise 360 had all the capabilities needed to make the course.
Implentation
In this phase, this learning experience would be uploaded to their Learning Management system Moodle using SCORM.
Evaluation
Participants will complete a 8 question end of course quiz. This quiz will check their knowledge on education technology tools and integration.
Participants completed a ten-question pre and post-assessment on their perceptions of their ability on integrating technology. Participants answered Likert scale questions about their perceptions of their ability levels and the effectiveness of the training.
Deliverable: Pre & Post Assessment
Purpose: The pre/post assessment is designed to supply data needed to assess the professional development training. This assessment will be able to see if the professional development training lessons are effective.
This data will be collected by pre assessment & post assessment examining both calculated means from close-ended questions. Each answer will be scaled from 0-5; Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neither Disagree nor Agree, Agree, Strongly Agree and Neutral.
The assessment will provide data on participants' perceptions of their ability to integrate technology into their curriculum, and feelings about integrating technology to increase student engagement.
